Covid-19 Doorstep portraits 2020

A moment in history. Lockdown life at the front door.

I spent time capturing family moments as we lived though history. Quarantine meant we were home as a family, enjoying the simpler things & cherishing time together. I documented these precious, crazy, historic times by photographing families on their doorstep, front garden or driveway (following the government guidelines).

I had an incredible time meeting wonderful families over the lockdown weeks. I meet brand-new “lockdown” babies, crazy twins, children from toddler to teen, fur-babies of all sorts, well behaved dogs, naughty dogs, cats galore, rabbits, a tortoise and a fish! Some couples with children grown and left, some with lots of children, some expecting children, some with grown up children in the photo via video chat, some with husbands on deployment (but you can spot little reminders of them in the photos). I’ve seen some wonderful tributes to the NHS, rainbows everywhere, chalk on brickwork, flowers, drawings, bunting, pom-poms, toys and some amazing smiles (and a few tears)!

I raised a whopping £395 and The funds were donated to the late Captain Tom who had been walking and raising money for the NHS.
